Anyone reminded here of Someone We Know????

Still jetlagged, but in a way, having to be up at 7.30 our time the last 2 days has been good. Outside the bedroom window, I still hear the admirable Paul digging up our sewer pipes. He deserves Honorary Wombat status for this.

I have a point on which tenbears may wish to comment. Having been reminded of my duties by the equally jetlagged Ms K, I presented huge mug of tea several times today to Paul, who grinned widely and mentioned that People Just Don't Offer Any More.

For those too young to remember, the protocol was that tea must be offered to visiting tradespersons. The first cup by the Lady of the House. That no-one does it any more must be one of those middle-class things.....
