The two angriest Americans I know right now are one each from Team Red and Team Blue. Team Red guy voted for Johnson.
I cannot believe, reading various threads on FB right now, that somehow we are all expected to just suck it up and pretend everything's normal.
Nope.
And yes. I am delighted someone else knows about Nixon. Tricky Dicky was a subtle, clever man with great vision and great gifts. Of course, by 1973 or so he was barking mad. And so... the memo went out. No orders from the President are to be implemented without being countersigned by the VP and the Sec of State.
It is just a small step thence to the Pentagon saying in future... OK. Now if all THREE are barking mad, then... we will seek sane orders from Joint Chiefs, and probably Speaker of the House.
