Pre-modern? Oh, yes. In my view, though, that's going back a LONG way. There are two types of PoMo philosophers. Those who still believe in reason, and those who don't. The latter seemingly outnumber the former, or so it seems. And it is they (I believe it to be true, therefore it IS true) are the ones whose eerie similarity to the Tea Partiers struck me at once.

Calling them both pre-modern is a perfectly reasonable thing to do.
