A very bad (flash-affected) pic of our new solar-powered fairy-lights. They go for several hours even in winter sunlight, though the blue lights only last an hour or so. I wondered after last night's bicycle ride why we seemed to be down to Spain's national colours before enlightenment dawned. Yep, the greens were still glowing gently. E = hf so the blues need twice the power of the reds.

Today's userpic shows two of our new babies: a pair of rainbow lorikeets who appear to have grown up here this autumn. They are clearly happy with life.

Some mail order firm which Madame receives from time to time. They're called Innovations.

They also provided at all-in-one vinyl player which is supposed to put vinyl onto CDs. Unfortunately the first model proved insufficiently Innovative, but we hope the replacement one they're sending will actually function. Their fairy lights work perfectly, however.
