I would say crimson rosellas and king parrots but maybe the green guys are too small for king parrots? but yes, a beautiful pic.

Almost right. I believe they are eastern rosellas. But you are spot on about the king parrots. When they are babies their heads are red and green, changing to full red with maturity.

I have to say, btw, that this wasn't one of mine. I have many similar pix from Kennett River but none so perfectly wreath-shaped. I'm guessing it's from the Gt Ocean Rd though.

The photo was sent me by one of the two authors of that awesome comic strip The Adventures of Captain MonUCS. Bill now runs a migrant refugee centre and is, as always, a lovely guy.
